What is 3 Wire Training?

3 Wire training is a 3 day hands on period of instruction for new and experienced personnel. Students will acquire the skillsets and techniques required to properly install and service GPS/Location based service equipment, and other devices relative to heavy and light automotive platforms.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive certification for having acquired 3 days of hands on, formal training relative to telematic service, and installation of equipment designed for automotive use.

Certification

Upon completion of this course, students will receive certification for having acquired 24 hours of formal training in telematic service and installation.

Manufacturer specific certification is available at our location in addition to standard training.

Career:

Competent three wire installers are in high demand in today's workplace. Installers typically travel from job to job installing electronic equipment into a variety of vehicles. The pay is good, and hours can be short or long. Most installers get paid by the piece, some get paid by the hour. Typical work hours are from 6 am til 3 pm, 7 days a week. Installers typically work within a hundred mile radius of their home or travel extensively to meet job demands. Every job is a little bit different, but they all require the same fundamentals.

What Students Will Receive:

1. Certification as a GPS service technician.

2. 3 days of hands on, formal training relative to the operation, installation, and service of 3 Wire telematic equipment and Y harnesses.

3. Training is presented using a crawl, walk, run method so that every student will have received all of the skillsets and knowledge needed to install a 3 Wire device.

4. Access to all technologies and techniques maintained by the school relative to installation, manufacturer specific tips and tricks, wiring, and more.

5. Instruction is provided by well-versed competent instructors who have completed hundreds of installs in all types of vehicles from locomotive to Lamborghini, to Hummer, to MRAP.

6. Guest instructors include manufacturer certified technicians that have real world experience working with multiple platforms of equipment and vehicles.

Having instructors that are certified with their respective dealerships enables the students to have the best method of installing GPS/ELD equipment on that product line.

7. Having this knowledge will eliminate catastrophic failures and unnecessary repair bills from dealerships caused by improper installation.

8. We also bring in guest instructors so that students receive the most current information and tips and tricks on ever changing CAN-BUS platforms that are dominating the market with lightning speed.
